Access Computer Technology is a full-scale information technology company that focuses on computer tech support, website design and build, and social media marketing.

I talked to Jason Miller, who has been the company’s owner and president since 2010. Jason has a bachelor’s degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University and an M.A. in education from the Jewish Theological Seminary where he was also ordained as a rabbi.

Jason told me that he learned about computers from his father at a very young age. He said that he built his first website in March of 1996 and has continued building websites since. Over the course of his life he has built over 200 websites and he has been blogging since 2003.

Jason said that in this day and age, it is important for every business to have a quality website and it is important for businesses to have strategic social media campaigns. In addition to providing IT services, creating websites and social media marketing are a big part of what Jason does for his clients. Miller pointed out that social media campaigns are less expensive than old media (e.g. TV ads, radio ads etc.) and he believes that they are also more effective in the 21st century.

In addition to working with businesses, Jason told me that he also works with a lot of non-profit organizations, and charges them discounted rates as a way of giving back to the community.
